Can it get any hotter?

So this is our 2.5 year trip!! One year on the long and bumpy road of South and Central America. Our second year started off with 12 weeks in New Zealand, then we headed to Australia! Eagerly clutching our working holiday visas we stayed in Australia for one year for work and travel. The last leg of our 30-month trip was 3.5 months in SE Asia. (We are home now and oh how we miss travelling!)

Can it get any hotter?

Arrived in the city of Leon today and thought maybe it might be cooler than the sweltering Granada. Nope it is hotter. The area we are in now is the hottest in Nicaragua and by George it is boiling. Us Brits have got to moan about something....

Leon is OK, just a big city really but there are less tourists here than Granada, which is nice.  It was a bit of a worry really as all the hostels we went into when we got here were full. We were boiling hot, sweating profusely and struggling under the weight of our packs, starting to consider what shop door we could sleep in for the night when we stumbled upon a great hostel that is owned and run by a Brit bloke. So lots of catching up about home and swapping travel tales over a cold beer.

We have tried to get some voluntary work here but everyone wants at least 2 months commitment, so we are changing the plan again and going to try and get something in South America. Probably a good thing as we will melt here.
