Ahhhh Bolivia...... we left Santa Cruz along with Timo and the 3 Aussie chicas and off we went on our long day bus to Salta, Argentina. Well this was not to be....

First of all we came across a road block, about 1 hour away from the Bolivia/Argentina border. With news that the block would not budge til the following day we piled off the bus and walked to the other side of the road block and got onto a local `micro`bus to the border town. After arriving, we got held up by the Argentine border guards for an hour. They seemed to find it funny to hold us up and wanted to chat up the girls in the group. I don`t think our situation was helped when a Bolivian guy from our bus who followed us to the border told the guards he was married to one of us, to help him get across the border!

Once on the Argentine side, we went to the bus station to get on our Salta bound bus only to find that our Bolivian purchased tickets were fake!! So we had to buy tickets for the next day. Tired and hungry we went out for our first Argentine meal as a group and enjoyed the wonderful cheap and flowing wine.
