And here we are again, back in the beautiful wonderful amazing city that is Buenos Aires. We managed to time our 2-night visit on the weekend so we enjoyed having a meander around the hippie market in La Boca on Saturday and then the San Telmo Sunday market. Very different to 10 months ago in terms of weather as it is now slap bang in the middle of the winter and it is FREEZING!!!!! It snowed here a few weeks ago, the first time in some 90 years!!

La Boca is a fascinating area. The very popular and colourful `El Caminito`surrounded by typical cafes, restaurants and the weekend hippie market are in the middle of a very run-down, working class area of Buenos Aires. We got off the bus a bit too early and ebded up walking through some very rough parts of La Boca and it is such a contrast to other parts of the city.

La Boca is also home to the Boca Juniors football stadium, which we did a tour of 4 years ago. There were so many people buzzing around the stadium and there is plenty of Maradona merchandise to chose from, including a Homer Simpson `Hand of God`t-shirt complete with a British flag on it!

Our Saturday night out consisted of copious amounts of cheap pints (that`s right, PINTS) and a curry (ahhhhhhhhhhhh) and eventually got to bed, humm not sure what time but it was late. And our blurry night out set us back a whopping tenner.

Sunday night was much the same in terms of great grub and wonderful booze, this time we headed down the Argentine wine route. We ate in a very-much local restaurant so enjoyed the fantastic atmosphere and late-night eating (people were still ordering food when we left at 2am). We stayed once again in the Bohemian area of San Telmo and all we can say is we want to live here. So we celebrated our 6-month wedding anniversary in the best city in the world!!
