My friend Shane was visiting from Seattle- It was real cool, because it alowed me to see Oslo in a different way than I normally do. And I also got to see places here, that I hadn't seen before he came. All in all a good 3 weeks :o)

Gjøvik - passing thru

I was born in Gjøvik, grew up in a small town just half an hour from the city. But I spent most of my teens here. Would have been kinda cool to stop, but I wasn't actually thinking about it.

The lake is called Mjøsa, and is the largest lake in Norway. We have a couple of sayings about "my" side of the lake in contrast to the other side. We say that the people living on the other side has  a great view. They can see straight over to our side..... lol. And the other saying is; " it doesn't matter where you are, just as long as you see Mjøsa". Not that it applys for me anymore, I haven't lived there since 1996. :o))
