Day 11 in London

In May, 2005, I headed over to London to visit my two best friends. They were living there at the time.

Day 11 in London

Sherron, Heather and I decided that we would go to ‘We Will Rock You’, so because they were working, I went to Leicester Square to get the tickets. While downtown, I walked around, looking in different shops and tourist kiosks. I went back to Sher and Heather’s place and made dinner. We ate quickly, then went to the show, which was playing at the Dominion Theatre. While we were riding the tube, we heard an announcement that the tube was delayed because someone was on the tracks somewhere around East Acton Station. I found it unreal that the announcement would be so blunt in giving the reason for the delay. I had heard other announcements like that, with reasons such as, “person on the track” or “passenger under the car”. Yikes! However, the show was awesome- I liked it more than I liked ‘Fame’. We had so much fun watching it, and singing along to the music (by Queen). After the show, we went home, and went to sleep.

Better than ‘Fame’, this one was set in the future, after all musical instruments had been banned. All music is computer generated and no-one is allowed to create music. But, there are some ‘Bohemians’ that are going against this. They are trying to bring the rock and roll back. All throughout they sing songs by Queen. It was absolutely awesome and just lots of fun. They involved the audience, and it was bright and loud. They used big screens with pictures on them, and there were all kinds of lights, including strobe lights. It was fabulous.
