I met my new friend Chris at the informal TB meet up, he was fun and very friendly and very helpful.
The day we met for the second time i was just by myself visiting Fisherman´s Wharf in the afternoon under a pouring rain and i was soaking wet so a good hot clam chowder was needed to give me some warmth and more energy :) I had to try this since it´s what they sell there in the restaurants besides fish and chips and other seafood. It was really good because it´s hot and tastes nice, for just $9.
That night Chris came to pick me up in my hostal and then went out for a BAR TOUR, this means that we went to three different clubs, because i´m Latin of course Chris tought it would be a good idea to bring me to a place with music that i could really like that´s why we started by going to The Cigar, a very lovely Cuban bar where besides their great food they had live music playing on which was absolutely contagious, there was a great ambiance, all the people seemed to love Latin music or to love Latin culture somehow, they were smiling and enjoying, so we did! There were a couple of people who were just staring to the others who were dancing, yes.
Four our second fun place we went to this place called The Saloon i think, which had a little bit of a western taste, it felt like being in a caban in a mountain... it had wood and it was very dark inside... kind of old fashioned and also the people inside where a bit older than us, i think, but they moved so well! with the rythm of the music, there was this lady with this magnific strong voice who also played the saxo and she was wonderful, sometimes walking over the bar playing and wearing this funny glases with purples lights... this kind of bar was pretty new for me, i loved it, and definetly i couldn´t do better that the dancers there... there was a lot of sensuality on their dances.
Finally we headed to another club which according to Chris was much more modern and they had electronic music... which i loooove! So we were standing at the entrance of the Club 111 Mina, and while paying i was so surprised when the guy didn´t want me to get in because he said my purse was too sparkle! i found that ridiculous and started to worry, i didn´t have a clue the guys where joking jajaja. Once inside, with my sparkle purse of course, and Chris, I felt like dancing at a museum... there was a lot of light and they had lots of paintings, pictures and art on the walls, well, this was in one of the rooms, they had different dance rooms, others where a bit darker. Everyone inside was very well dressed up too.
