Zolfo Springs, FL to Ft Lauderdale, FL
On this leg of my trip, I put my rig in storage and drove down to Ft. Lauderdale to visit an old high school friend. The drive down through central Florida was not very interesting. Just miles and miles of sugar cane fields. came around the southern edge of lake Okeechobee and along the northern fringe of the Everglades. The GPS delivered me right to his door. Sure do love that unit!
I had a great 3 day visit with my friend. He was recovering from some serious surgery and did not have a lot of energy but we had a lot of fun walking down memory lane. Had a great meal of my favorate, Ipswich clams and went to a Jai Alai game one evening. What a fast game it is and it's too bad that there are not more facilities to see Jai Alai.
