Titusville, FL to Wrens, GA
June 24, 2002
My stop here was just an overnight as I was moving north through Georgia. Southern Georgia was not very interesting with many miles of forests, cotton fields and some tobacco. I took secondary roads on this leg and traveled through many tiny little towns with lots of deserted houses and stores. What was not missing were many small churches with some very creative names. Wish I had taken notes of the names. The majority were AME churches and I finally found out that was short for African Methodist Episcopalian.
