This blog will cover my travels all over the USA in my RV. Take a look and because it is focused on each location I have visited, you can zero on areas of interest to you. I have made an entry for every stop in my travels.

Philadelphia, PA to Middleboro, MA., My old home

I left Marlton, NJ and had planned to drive up to Connecticut and stay there dor the night but as I got closed to home, I decided to push on and complete the trip in one long day of driving.

Made it to my old home town, Middleboro, MA.,  in the early evening and parked in the lot at my old Elks Lodge. My dad was very active when I was young and I joined the year I turned 21. The Lodge had no facilities for a RV so I did not plan to stay more than the one night.

The town sure has not changed much since I left it in 1964. Different store names but the same buildings. Went by my old home that I had lived in for 24 years and had some vivid memories as I passed it. For those who don't know, Middleboro was settled by Pilgrims from Plymouth in 1669 and is only about 20 miles from Plymouth. About the only claim to fame is the fact that the Ocean Spray Cranberry Company is headquartered here. Ocean Spray was a co-op made up of all of the cranberry growers in southeast Massachusetts.

Summary:

Elks Lodges: 13  Escapee Parks: 5  Public RV Campgrounds: 6 National Parks: 9

Major Ships: 4  Forts: 7

Expenses: 4 months on the road with an average of $1842 per month.
