Midland, TX to Greenville, TX
From Midland, I drove 410 miles up to Greenville where I met a couple of guys I had chummed around on a cruise last year. They were very surprised to see me and we had a couple of days of too much fun. They were in a party mood and my liver took a beating while there. I stayed at a local Elks Lodge which was very small and only open on weekends. Backed into a grassy field which was wet due to recent rain and I was very lucky I did not get stuck there.
We went to the horse races at Lone Star Raceway outside of Dallas and had a great afternoon losing a little money picking the wrong nags.
