After getting my tire fixed, I moved on to Pecos Texas where I stayed at another Escapee RV Parks. While there I visited an interesting museum that was origionally an old saloon. They have restored it to the origional condition. There was a plaque on the floor showing where a guy was gunned down. Upstairs were the rooms where the ladies worked keeping the cowpokes happy. Nice job in setting up an unusual museum.

Summary: Elk RV Parking: 31; Escapee RV Parks: 19; Public RV Parks: 17; National Parks: 32; Ships: 9; Forts: 17

Expenses: 23 months on the road with an average of $1811/month.

kensac, there is a "mountain" or "mesa" somewhere between el paso and pecos that looks like a reclining indian brave. If you've seen it, you know it is a very masculine indian. I last saw it in 1978 on my way home from Fort Bliss for the final time. I can't remember the name or exact location. Any idea?

Don't you just love museums like this? I love the history of our country. Wish more towns did that. Have a good day!
