Our "Big" Snow Day!

OK - big by our standards! Schools were closed, some businesses didn't open, and the street crews were hard at work for most of the day, and the forecast is for 1-3" more tonight with blowing and drifting. Who knows what tomorrow may bring?!
The bank where I work didn't close, so I was limited to taking pictures before and after work and during lunch. Downtown was very quiet except for the hale and hearty. My daughter ventured out (not even snowdrifts in her driveway could keep her home) for lunch. Deciding not to drive, we set out on foot about a block from where I work - East of Chicago Pizza Co. (see review). It is amazing just how fast 45 minutes can go by!
By quitting time, there was still enough daylight to go to a couple beautiful places blanketed in snow! My first stop was Stepping Stones Park.
After stopping by my house and changing into snow boots, I set out for the Indian Mill Park located just north of Upper Sandusky. I knew this area would be beautiful! I figured the red painted mill in contrast with the white snow would produce some great picture opportunities. It didn't disappoint me when I arrived! Being the only person there, it was me and nature! I took just a moment to reflect on life - just standing alone listening to the rushing water, some birds in the distance, and the occasional car passing over the bridge. A truly awesome moment! It really makes you feel close to God, and very thankful having been given the opportunity to experience this moment!
Now I want to share some of the pictures from today. I like the snow, but boy, I've had enough this year! Bring on Spring!!!!!!!!
