On holiday for the Chinese New Year and decided to head to Cambodia with a few other teachers.

The trip to Siem Reap and a sunset

Another day, another long bus trip, although this one only set for 5 hours.  As the bus traveled through central Cambodia, numerous stops were made and women and children were selling everything from fruit to bugs to scarfs..spoken in perfect english from the millions of buses carrying travelers and tourists alike.

We arrived in Siem Reap and were greated to a sign saying "MR SETH" courtesy of our hotel and hopped in with our driver, Va.  He took us to a partner guesthouse, which at 3.50/p for a double room seemed fine with me.  We worked it out with Va on being our driver for the next three days and he agreed to pick us back up for sunset at about 4:30 that day.

Sunset was seen at Phnom Bakheng by both us and about a million other tourists.  Granted, it was a pleasant site, but may be best viewed from another temple.  Regardless, three day passes were purchased and we were set for another tourist infested sunrise at Angkor Wat the following morning.
