Fall 2009 a beautiful day!!!!!

I had the day off of both jobs today and when I first woke up to a beautiful sunny morning...I tried to think of what I wanted to do today.

I sat there out on my balcony...watching the sun rise...the ocean in the background and just watch the wee clouds go by.
What to do...what to do....
I couldn't go to the trail today because they are logging up there right now...
Besides I needed to do something around home for a change...
I didn't want to go downtown because I go by there every day to go to work...
Then I remembered Hatley Castle..

My girlfriend Susan and I used to walk around this place almost every day...it is 2.5K's around the castle grounds and an awesome walk....
I was getting excited to go because I had not been there in a while and wondered if the fall colors were coming out?
I wanted to see the rose garden. ..and the Japanese garden...and right now at this time of year you can go in for free....
It's peaceful and quiet...you can smell the ocean air...

I could feel the sun kiss my face...and the warmth...ohhhh it was fantastic....
I could smell sweetness in the air...from what ever flowers I was passing by...
There is still a lot of color out there and it is October already!!!!!
I could hear the birds...the peacocks were sunbathing...there were still a couple of babies wandering about
squirrels...looking for pine cones and nuts......
Sea gulls in the water fishing away....
Geese that don't want to fly south.....

And the trees and the color...what a light show.....

I sometimes get so caught up in work, or going to the trail that I forget what beauty is so near by...besides my backyard that is:)

Victoria has so many great nooks and crannies to go see...
I must start to remember that...
