Viewing history through the art of mobility. It was a great and learning experience. I recommend this museum to anyone who adores history!

Racing!!!

I felt like I was at the race track on this level.  Here's a view of the coolest car I've ever seen!  This is the 1st Mercedes 300 SLR, first seen in 1955.  The other photos are cool racing mercedes racing vehicles - gotta love the speedy feel of the photos!

The luxury time

Ah here it is the car now called Mercedes-Benz.  This beauty was car of the 1930-40's.  It chauffeured, kings, heads of state, and more.  this one had speeds up to 100 mph.

The oldest Mercedes still in existence

Believe or not the name Mercedes originated from the daughter of a wealthy businessman named Emil Jellinik.  This man financed many of the autos by Daimler.  The first Mercedes was developed and designed by Maybach and Daimler.  In the photos here you will see the first Mercedes and the oldest one still in existence.

Level 8 of the Museum

This is where a visitor will learn about the history of three important inventors; Gottlieb Daimler, Whihelm Maybach, and Karl Benz.  These three men laid the foundation for what was to become a true luxury car.  On this level I was able to see the world's first gasoline-engine automobile,  The first motorcycle, the world's first four wheeled automobile, and a slew of other first vehilcles; fire pump, locomotive, including the world's first motorized airship.  This floor held a slew of firsts!!
