0101 Rabat’s less attractive twin (Mor 012—new)

Sale is Rabat's less attractive twin that can't get a date.  But once again, I'm here to experience run-of-the mill cities--not just the touristy ones... It does have a long, rugged coastline that's pretty cool.  I followed it all the way to the shantytowns at the end of town.  There, a crowd of young girls surrounded be and begged me to play a song for them--that's a pretty rare experience in Morocco.  I really wanted to, but nearby a couple of taxi drivers were giving me an ugly look so I decided not to...

The marketplace in the old medina is pretty cool.  It struck me that the alleys in the Rabat and Sale medinas are straight--unlike the twisty alleys I'm used to... The market includes a large, glittering jewelry section...

And that was Sale...
