This is a cool museum if you go with children because there you have hundreds of experiments, it´s very interesting, your children and yourself will learn a lot and will have a lot of fun, there are a lot of games. You can see how the tornados form, you can do a huge bubbles, you can also feel yourself talking to a full auditorium and you´ll hear real applauses back as you give a speech.
There is also a demonstration of how the comets form in Space, how the colors affect your mind and give certain kind of mood or sensations, you can also create a water wall, you will see how your face would be if the right side would be exactly at your left side and visceverse.
I was particularly more attracted to the experiments they had there about our sensations, emotions, expressions and how our minds work, i.
At the same time that i was at the museum there was a lecture by Paul Eckman, who made a study on a tribe found in New Guinea who had never had contact with the civilization however they had facial gestures that are natural humans: smiles, signs of anger, sadness, etc. Unfortunately the lecture was private and i couldn´t go in but there was some info about it in the museum´s exposition
The entrance is $14 for adults. Check out some of the pictures...
