Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Left Gatlinburg early this morning and we are heading back to Tampa. Going to make a stop at Georgia's Stone Mountain before heading on down interstate 75 south. Well, well, well......went an hour out of our way to see Stone Mountain and the damn Skylift to the top was closed for the day. They are doing repair work..:((( She took our $8.00 for entering the park and never mentioned it to us. Bad public relations!!!!! Anyway took a few pictures of the carving and jumped back in the truck and away we went. Stone Mountian is easy to get to, take I-75 to I-285 east and follow the signs. You can hike up the mountain which can be a lot of fun or a lot of cursing...lol The big thing between March thru October is the Lasershow. Get there early and claim your spot on the lawn for a super show!!!! There is campgrounds, playgrounds, train ride around the mountain, hotels, resturants, hiking trails, golf, and tennis. You can spend the whole day here. Summertime can be crowded so plan ahead.
Planned on getting home around 7:00 pm, but ran into an accident south of Ocala and heavy traffic heading into Tampa..welcome back to the big city. We got home around 8:00 pm. Brought everything in from the truck, took a ahower, and jumped on the computer to finish this.
It turned out to be a great vacation and it is always good to get back home. By the count on my blog you guys have enjoyed it, THANKS!!!!!
