My Illegal Immigrant Status

I'm studying in Chile for 5 months to learn the language, the culture, and have fun!

My Illegal Immigrant Status

My parents left on Tuesday night. The last few days with them were much more enjoyable than the first few... mainly because we weren't dealing with replacing stolen goods. We made a few trips to places near the city--but OUTSIDE of the city, so clean air. It's quite a commodity here. I was sad to see them go, but I think they were more sad... oops.

Thursday was a national holiday, so Laura and I had friends over Wednesday night. We just hung out all evening, but it's great because I have finally got chilean friends and am not fully stuck in the expat world.

Friday, I got my passport back from the embassy, so I am going to Mendoza today to keep from becoming an illegal! I am very excited that I won't have to miss class for this trip. It's kind of sad that I didn't get to spend a relaxing weekend in Mendoza, and I'll have to make a nonstop trip, but at least it's not during the week.

As for school... let's just say that it's going, and I'm learning lots of spanish.
Hope you all are well.
