Fútbol and Fun

So yesterday, I only had plans to run a few errands since I had no class, but it is amazing how without having any plans, your day is suddenly packed with activity. I woke up late and was doing a little laundry, about to go for a run, when I receive a text to go play fútbol. To kill 2 birds with one stone I ran the 3.5 miles to the park where we were playing, and then proceeded to play fútbol for 2 hours! I had to leave to go check out an apartment. For those of you who don't know, I am moving out of the house with my family to an apartment in a month. Nothing wrong witht he family, I just miss having my own food and space, etc. I wound up having quite some difficutly finding the apartment, talking to the realtor in spanish on the phone, and the girl who was to check it out with me bailed. I did see it however, but I still have more to see, so I'll update you later. Afterwards, I went home and cleaned up--finally. A friend invited us all to come to his house to have dinner, so we started our night there with a few people-8. Then we went to a party that a classmate was having--included chileans. Then we heard of another party/discoteca nearby, but as it turned out they wouldn't let guys under 25 in, so we didn't want to go without our guy friends and we weren't to excited at the prospect of being hit on by 25yr old plus chilean men, So we found a bar/dance club--if you are keeping track this is venue #4. I pulled a mom and fell asleep while we were sitting around in a group at the bar. They woke me up when we left and I finally got to go to a real bed by 5ish. It was a great day, mainly because I love being busy! I believe we are going to try to go on a picnic and play more soccer today. Let's hope so!

JillyKate, Need info on the apartment situation. Being in Costa Rica, for now, I am feeling out of touch. Hope all goes well in your apartment search, and always think safety. Love & hugs, Mom

Jilly, Surprise!!! Surprise!!! I thought you were all settled with your Chilean family. Good luck with the apartment hunting and be selective--we are snowed in up here--I can't wait for warm weather. We talked with your mom on Thurs. Be careful--love you always! Miem
