A journey through Floria

It was the summer of 2005 when I took the plane to "The Sunshine State" Florida. After arrival at Miami Airport just straight to "Alomo Rent a Car" to pick up a white grand am pontiac (Automatic transmission). After getting to know the car and the US traffic signs (directions like "east" and "west" were new to me) we went to our hotel in Miami......it was already dark so it toke a while before we found the Tudor Hotel in Miami Beach. After a quick bite a jetlag was coming up.....so time to go to sleep
What is greater than waking up, walking outside your hotel and see Miami Beach......having breakfast with a lot of coffee at the "NEWS CAFE" at Ocean Drive. There are worser ways to wake up.
After breakfast we took a walk through ocean drive, the art deco district is just great to see.
But when you're in Miami and you haven seen the Art Deco district........you have to make the "Star Tour". This means you pay a lot of money for a boat trip trough the waters of Miami Harbour, see a lot of very big and very beautufil houses and a shipper who is saying "Here lives Silvester Stallone"....."This is the house of Julio Iglesias"......."Now you see where P. Diddy spends his time when he is in Miam" etcetera.....blablablabla. But you have to experience it and just laugh about it ;-)
I just love to hang around at South Beach with it's beautiful weather, people skating, running and biking around the beach. A lot of hummers driving around at ocean drive........just sitting, seeing around enjoying a good cup of coffee......and before you know it's evening. Having dinner at ocean drive is also fun......when eating you see the same Hummers and other expensive cars driving by and again and again.....people like to been seen over there.
Day three and so on will folow in the next entry :)
