Spot the Oz

St. George's Day...um who's George? Australia Day...try walking 2 feet without seeing the Ozzy flag. They certainly know what they're doing over here, Sydney was full of the very patriotic, giving the place an amazing vibe. There were music stages all round the Rocks in the city, boasting all different kinds of music, so you could just settle down on a nice piece of grass with a beer and enjoy yourself (note - one of the best things about bottles of Oz beer is the fact they're screw caps - oh the ease of it all).
I met up with Francine and a friend of hers from University, Adam. It was a cracking day that included a guy giving out free hugs, hanging out with a maybe homeless, maybe alchoholic Australian and me meeting more Irish people than actual Ozzys.

List of where I saw the Australian flag -

*actual flags   *t-shirts   *bags    *tatoos (the transfer kind)    *hats    *fingernails   *head scarves    *flip flops (or thongs as they're known here)    *shorts/board shorts     *face paint (not that it lasted long in the heat)    *sunglasses....and most likely a whole host of other things I can't remember!
