Come Sail Away!
After an eventful night, we woke up to another sunny day. We grabbed some breakfast downstairs at the hotel and had time for a little bit
of last minute souvenier shopping. At 10:30am a cab arrived to pick us up and we made the quick trip over to the Port where Century awaited us. The cab driver must have thought his name was Speedracer, so the trip didn't take long. But did he have to scare us half to death?! Checking-in was very quick and efficient. Within a half hour of arriving we were headed across the gangway to our welcome
champagne and a hand-sanitizing wipe. (No Norovirus please!) After dropping off my carry-on we headed up to the pool deck and
the sun! Just laying in the sun on nice, comfortable lounge chairs.
let's eat yet again! The lunch buffett looked amazing and we saw my Cruise Critic friends Mitch and Jody in line. We ate lunch together
and chatted for awhile before moving back outside for more basking in the sun. By this time bathing suits were on, the bars were open and
we were ready to get this party started! After an early and extended happy hour with more Cruise Critic friends it was time to head inside
for the muster drill. Everyone looks so nice in their bright orange jackets. Some idiots keep blowing the whistles on their jackets. Don't they
know how many mouths that whistle has been in? Yick! Back up on deck and all the way forward. It's time for sailaway! Woohoo!
After sailing down the channel and into the Atlantic, it was time to go to the Cruise Critic meet and greet in the Martini Lounge. It was great to see everyone I had been chatting with online, and I got to see many friends from last year's cruise as well.
The evening progressed and we got ourselves ready for dinner and the casino. We're a little tired and the casino wasn't good to us.
When we wake up we'll be in Nassau.......
