Milano
July 9, 2006
From Positano we made the enormously long trek up to Milan. We rode a bus for two hours along the winding cliffs from Positano to Naples, and then we took an overnight train from Naples to Milan. Milan is a very beautiful city. We were only there for the day, because we had to get back to France to pick up our belongings and fly home the next day, but the time that we spent in Milan was very nice. We visited the great church in the center of the city and climbed to the top to get a great view of the city. This church is one of my favorites with all the beautiful white sculpture. The day in Milan was they day after Italy won the World Cup, so there were people running around and shouting all day. It was fun to see all of the excitement. It was sad to leave Milan because I knew that we were on our way home, but we were all very excited to get back to Dijon for one last glimpse of our summer home before we left for the US.
