Whistler here I come... Vancouver through Squamish to Whistler

It's 5:40am and I'm sitting at my gate waiting for my plane to be ready to board, I don't even know if it's here yet.  Geez, I'm too sleepy to figure it out.  I have about an hour and 20 minutes more to wait.  What to do what to do?  I don't wat to wat any airport food, no way, just chit chat with the girls, and play my DS.  Till boarding and the plane will take us to our layover in Seattle, Washington.

11:45am, all aboard.. we're leaving Seattle now making our way to Vancouver.  We're on Horizon Air (similar to Czech Airlines.. I can see the propellars from my window. Haha funny.  Just about an hour or so to go till i can say "Hello, Vancouver".

Before boarding I got my First perfect score in CM&F game.. woo hoo gold medal baby.  I'm proud.. lol.. Just finished filling out our customs car.  So i decided to stare out the window.  Bad idea, the damn propellar spinning round and round started to make me dizzy, and we haven't even left yet.  Okay, they're moving faster now, and we're moving.  Geez, we're going so slow.. and funny as I write that down or think this thought the passenger sitting next to ate J says to his friend "Are we driving there or what?"  haha that was funny, oh there's humor on my flight to Vancouver.. Love it.

Finally in the air, geez louise man I feel a bit uneasy.  The lift off was shaky with the stomach drop roller coaster feeling and my seat is a non-stop irritating massage chair now that just won't stop.

I can't concentration.  I hope the time goes fast.  My ear is already starting to hurt with the high altitude =(.  Prayers and iPod time, no nap taking or DS playing for me thank you very much.

Landing was fine, actually pretty smooth.  One little bounce and easy smooth landing.  Here were are in Vancouver airport.  Gotta go find Melarooski =).  Lugging around my luggage and board bag was great once we obtained one of the free carts, free can you believe that.  That's great.  Luggage on and board bag on at an angle so that none of us can see what was in front of us.  So we're pretty much sticking our heads to the side so that we can see.  Bit annoying really.. but hey gotta do what we gotta do.

It is always a nice feeling to have your luggage arrive in tip top shape, or to even have your luggage arrive at all.  I almost came close to it not being complete because when we reached the oversized luggage area some girl almost grabbed my board bag instead.  Haha.. yeah I know, scary right.  We have the exact same DaKine board bag except that mine has wheels and hers does not, and my luggage tag is a cute little pineapple while umm.. didn't really notice what she had.  She laughed about it saying, "Oh my goodness I almost grabbed your bag by mistake when I realized when did my bag have wheels, and I don't have a pineapple on my bag" all I could say was "haha.. funny" or something like that.  hehe it wasn't my fault my bag almost went off with another person.

How hard it would be for her to ride the mountain on my 140 snowboard?  Pretty hard, since she was quite a bit taller than me so yeah.

We finally made it outside customs.  Yippee.. now to find our fellow Bay Area resident who had already been occupying Vancouver airport for the last 3 hours already.  She was no where to be found. Oh no, and she wasn't answering her cell phone, texts nothing.  So I went to the information booth to have her paged.  I waited and waited and finally went back downstairs to brainstorm with the rest what to do next.  She either called us up or we finally got through to her and we were able to pinpoint her location.  Haha.. too funny right by the oversized luggage area.  Too funny, I don't know how we didn't notice her, or how she hadn't noticed the 3 of us.

Oh well.. we'll never know.. obviously we were all way too excited that we all take the blame for not paying attention.

So now what?  To Whistler we come..?  yeah..no.. we have one more we were waiting for who was taking a direct flight from SFO airport.  We all had a little snack at Burger King, and we got a text from her that she landed and she'll call when she gets out of customs.  Yay.  Before we leave the area and pick up our rent-a-SUV plans changed and our little friend who has family in Vancouver got in contact with them and decided to stay behind a bit longer till they can pick her up at the airport and hang out.  Yup more time in the airport, this day Vancouver airport was pretty much home sweet home for her.  LOVE!  All worth it since she would be seeing relatives that she hadn't seen in awhile.

powdershredder says:
