in front of Blenz ready to lock and load to stride and ride the mountains
LOVE! Snowboarding Love! Not much to say about this day since majority of the day was spent on the mountains. The one lift ticket gave you access to both mountains, so awesome. Just being there sooooooo made my day, let along snowboarding there. We started off on Blackcomb mountain. Boy was it cold up there. It was nice and fun, it had a few surprises tucked around in there.. like you're having fun boarding, and boarding and BOOM, dead end, or kind of a dead end. It's a rope guiding you to go along the rope so that you don't go over the unexpected small cliff. I mean, we're already slowing down because we're like what the heck is up with the rope, and now we have to try and make it up a hill to get around the rope. Yeah.. umm no.
. so we unstrap walk up the hill, then lock and load. And the beat goes on and on. Lots of fun, lots of snow, kind of packed snow (eeks) but all was good, we moved we grooved.
We made our way over to Whistler mountain too, which I think we all enjoyed a little more than Blackcomb. Mostly because there was more powder and we didn't encounter any crazy little surprise cliffs. We got to the top started to strap on, when I noticed my binding just a bit loose, Mel had her screwdriver so I tightened the crap out of it. It was zero visibility up there, the fogged moved through and through our pathways, scary and exciting all wrapped in one.
It was a great day, exhilarating boarding, fun with friends, and a view that everyone must see at one point in their lives.. the view from the top is so overwhelming words can't describe it. "I Like it on Top - Whistler, Canada"
