Switzerland - Bettmeralp
This place was the highlight for my trip. A Swiss friend told me about the place and i went to look it up on the web: http://www.bettmeralp.ch/e/
It turned out to be the highlight of my time in Switzerland! But, i had too short a stay there, just 1 night. So only managed to do a hike down, had a good dinner, rosti & cheese fondue! We see a lot more locals at this place. So i guess it's better known to the locals & not so much a tourist spot?
We took the cable car right up to the top, took photos of the Aletsch glacier, the other end that most tourists don't get to see. (The popular end is seen at Jungfraujoch). What was really memorable was figuring out the hike down to where we stayed. It was steep, narrow but the views of the mountains was awesome!
If i were to re-plan my trip to Switzerland again, i'd give more time to more of such places! Altogether serene!
