Burg Nanstein

We packed everything up and moved to Munchweiler, Germany and hope to have a wonderful experience here. We looked for houses and finally settled on a pur-tay pink duplex house! We're settling in nicely.

Burg Nanstein

We went to see the Burg Nanstein with some friends.  It was really nice to see what was left of the castle.  They have done some upgrades to accomodate visitors and make it safer - like wooden handrails and steps to get to the upper areas - but it still has the feel of ancient times if you can block all that out.  Take a trip down the stone steps to dirt floors and small holes for windows and you will arrive in what feels much like a dungeon!  I really have no idea what it once was, but I can pretend I was really in the dungeon of an old castle, right?  Great first castle experience!
