Off to Spain!

My second trip to Spain coincided with Holy Week. I began in Granada, and included a side trip to Gibraltar, then back north to Madrid, Toledo, Segovia and Salamanca.

Off to Spain!

Using frequent flyer miles for holiday travel is always an interesting experience.  I can usually find a way to get there -- it is just not always the most direct route.  I am headed for Granada, Spain to meet friends who are working there for a week at an international convention.  My trip to Granada is via Chicago (on American Airlines) to Zurich, Switzerland (on Swiss Air), to Madrid, Spain (again on Swiss), and finally to Granada (on Iberia Air).  23 hours of flying time.  Thank goodness most of it is in First or Business Class!  All that work travel does pay off.
