Mark won the award for travelling the most and had flown in from Sydney to attend the Amsterdam meetup which was the week before and then come to the London one.

And I think Hannah won the award for drinking the most booze!! Most were from London but there were lots who lived in London but aren’t from there like me for example haha. Actually there was quite a few Canadians! Anyways so it started at 6pm at Bar 55 in Camden town but everyone kind of came on their own time as people had to work and what not. It was 2 for 1 drinks until 8pm so that was basically the point of everyone coming at 6 haha. So we all just chit chatted and got to know one another and took lots of pics and drank! It’s funny when you introduce yourself and your like, “Hi, I’m _____” and then it’s like but what’s your screen name?? And then there were moments where you realise you recognize someone from a blog or a review. Some people had to leave early and around 9pm we all headed over to Wagamamas for some food.

I got this really awesome chicken and shrimp noodle plate which I was very impressed with haha. At Wagamams Ruby and I handed out all the little gifts for everyone and announced the “surprise.” Ruby being the totally amazing person that she is organised a Scavenger type hunt of London and everyone had to get into groups and go and get pictures with certain famous landmarks in London. So everyone split up into four groups...the first group was “The Awesome Foursome” which had Mark, Warren, Tanya, and Primrose. “2 + 2” was Matt, Mike, Amanda, and Tet. Team “Ruby, Ruby, Ruby” was John, Nathan, Sarah, and Can and the last team “The Originals” was Matt, Patrick, Ben and Noel. So everyone got an envelope which had 5 tasks and they only had 1 hour to do it and get back to the bar. For every 5 minutes people were late getting back to the bar they lost half a point and if they called our mobiles asking for help they lost 2 points which no one did cause most are from London haha.

Each task had a different points value based on how far away they were and how hard it would be to take a picture with it. So anyways 1)Take a picture with a Black Cab (2 points) 2)Take a picture under Paddington (7 points) and Farringdon (5 points) tube signs. 3)Take a picture of two of the UNESCO heritage sites (Royal Botanic Gardens, Tower of London, Greenwich, or Westminster Abbey, Each worth 5 points) 4)Take a picture under the London Eye (3 points) 5)Take a picture in Trafalgar square with the really tall thingy which name I can’t remember (and I think that was worth 5 points...if you can’t tell I lost the little slip for number 5 haha) I don’t have the exact points value but 2+2 came in first, then Ruby Ruby Ruby, then the original, and in last place was the Awesome Foursome. The last two teams never even went on the game but just went back to Bar55 and tried more creative ways of taking the pictures which they did get some bonus points for haha.

While everyone was out and about me, ruby, and Hannah went and bought bottles of wine for the winning team and were quite surprised when we got back to the bar and two of the teams were already there lol. We all left 55 just before 12 as we all had to catch the tube and people had to work in the morning. It was sad saying bye at Camden tube station as we all went our separate ways but the meetup was a huge success and I think everyone had lots of fun!! And special thanks to Ruby for putting so much effort into organising everything, she did an amazing job!! So that was the meet-up and it was really awesome and I am soo glad that I got to meet everyone!! People on tb are so nice and I have made quite a few friends here in London through the site and I’m very thankful. Anyways until the next meetup...which is Saturday the 9th by the way.
