yes, we arrived at the area this early
It's just 2 days after the meetup when ted332, kickassstunner and me went on a trip to Clark Airfield in Pampanga for the Hot Air Balloon festival. The slogan for the Hot Air Balloon Festival was "everything that flies" and it was supposed to be a "weekend full of everything that flies" according to writeups. It was true that most of the things that fly were there, but they were mostly on display. The skydiving was too far from the people watching, a bit too small to be seen on pictures unless you have an SLR of course, but I guess this was a safety measure that's why the dropoff points were selected way off from the people. There were exhibitions of fighter planes, heli and even ammunitions.

I was even hoping that there would be an exhibition of RC planes and helicopters but all I saw was some RC heli that was the same as the ones sold at the mall, and sold for the same price.
No hot air balloon went up that day because of the gusty winds.. pfffft.. but that did not dampen our spirits. We decided to roam the nearby Nayong Pilipino - Clark, instead. I have been to the Nayong Pilipino Manila when I was a kid but I didn't remember much of it so it was still like my first time. The place displays the different lodgings/houses of the native Filipinos and also shows the Spanish side of the Philippines - based on my observation. It was fun in a way that Sarj and I played a game to speak purely Filipino while at the area, charging each other one peso for every English word uttered while we were there. Sad to say, it wasn't that easy. We ended up owing each other roughly 10 pesos each.
