Our train trip for the Summer of 2008. The idea, the planning, the reservations, the booking, the travelling. I hope you will enjoy reading about my struggles and my excitement of this trip. Some of the countries we plan to visit: Starting ofcourse in the Netherlands, we have to go through Germany to the Czech republic, Slovakia, Hungary, probably Transsylvania (in Romania), Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and then heading back home again.

Traunstein !

We did not have anything to do here, but our train stopped in the middle of the night at this station.

Our dad has travelled a few times to Inzel to watch European ice skating championship, and he always travelled by this place, because although he had to travel more kilometres, it saved him time. If he hadn't we never have had heard of this little place at the German-Austrian border.

So, waking up again because our train stopped we wondered where we were, This could not be Munich! Munich is still a long way to go, so where the hack were we? My sister had no clue, and then I realized I was the one with the glasses, so I put them on, and had a look outside the window. There the sign was, in plain view: Traunstein !
We instantly had to think of our dad :)

However not on our travel schedule, we did stop here because it is the border stop.
