Ise Shrine is one of the most famous shrines like Izumo Shrine in Shimane. We've been to Ise Shrine Naiku three times for the past five years. Looking back upon our past, we went to this Ise Shrine on a honeymoon. The dedication of a new shrine of this shrine was also finished for the first time in twenty years. Except for the warring states period, the dedication of a new shrine had repeated every twenty years for 1,300 years. That's the reason so many tourists visit Ise Shrine this year. Each time the whole main shrine is rebuilt at the adjoining land. In short, the old main shrine is demolished. New gorgeous ornaments have been also donated in every rebuilding. This is the 62nd rebuilding. According to the authorities, the expenses of this rebuilding cost about fifty five billion yen.  The riverbank autumn colors were very beautiful. I know that this shrine is very crowded at the New Year holidays. But we had to line for a long time in front of the main shrine in spite of an ordinary day of November. Okage yokocho was built to commemorate previous rebuilding Ise shrine Naiku in 1993. The prosperity of this street appeal to tourists from all over the country. We enjoyed trying out the food at various restaurants. Ise is close to sea, so there are a lot of good marine products. We ate Ise udon, tekone-zushi, akafuku mochi and raw oysters.
