feeding the giraffes

We were very sad to leave Mombasa. We had such a great time there and above all, we felt very safe. Our first nights accommodation in Nairobi was at Hotel Boulevard which I wouldnt recommend to anyone. We payed about $110 USD for an old, dirty room with no mozzie nets and the window would not shut properly so mozzies could sneak in. At one point in the night we were both up hunting for this one mosquito that we could hear when the lights were off but couldnt find. Thinking back to that situation I cant help but smile, 2 grown adults shit scared of 1 possibly malaria ridden mozzie.

The following day we checked out of crummy Boulevard and into a Comfort Inn suite which was cheaper, nicer and had a kitchen; we were sold.

Today we visited the giraffe centre which was fantastic. The giraffes walk up to the balcony and you get to feed them and touch them. I never would have thought in my wildest dreams that I would ever be able to touch a giraffe. It was very cool.
