Shanghai, China ... seemed to be the fashion capital of Asia ... from my perspective
"Can I actually be in Shanghai ... is this only a dream" ... the buildings here are so high and unfortunately I've arrived in Shanghai on a rainy/grey day ... I hope that tomorrow is sunny so I can really see the Shanghai I see in all the travel books or how it's televised on T.V.
Well, we arrived at our hotel and we had no bell-boy service ... I guess you can say ... we looked poor (hehe); boy, did he miss out on our tips ... when touring I tend not to bring 'high-fashionable-clothing' but if you want to 'fit-in' then when you come to Shanghai be prepared or be prepared to purchase clothing ... the clothing is very very nice but the sizing is certainly different ... in Canada a size 7/8 in Shanghai seems to equate with XXL and higher depending LOL . .. My shoulders are wide in comparison to the petite, little, tiny women of Shanghai ... we Canadians do certainly 'stand-out', I don't know if that's a good thing ... LOL
I had the chance to experience the Meglav Train and ride the train at a speed of 431kms/hr ... my tummy felt weird after, I couldn't figure out why cause my mind felt as if we only travelled about 100kms/hr ... the developers of the train istalled some windows that 'give' the impression that you're only travelling at a reasonable speed (known as decelerating windows) ... so you 'think' you're travelling slow but the tummy, it really knows ... I picked up a souvenir and then we were off to see the huge T.V. tower in Shanghai
Show much to see in so little time, hopefully tomorrow brings a day of relaxation and touring, UNFORTUNATELY NOT ... I have to give up relaxion if I'm to 'get in' (experience) all that I can see in Shanghai, China ... especially when I sometims think, "will I have the opportunity to return?" ... though if I can I will certainly return!!

I noticed though the tourists, business men, who happened to be in high fashioned clothing were getting immediate help with their luggage ... perhaps I was just tired and have built up higher expectations of hotel service ... either way, I found as we improved our style, doors were being opened etc. ... this may be just a coinsidence, but thought I would mention it ...
Must say the breakfast, internet, safety, cleanliness was certainly above average and this made up for the bell-boys ... i must remember Shanghai is the fashion city of the world and go more prepared and hey, wear fashionable boots, shoes, pants, tops, and accessories when travelling to Shanghai!!!
