yeah! this was my 4th time here and I was ready to enjoy it - more than usual :)
Well, now is time to talk about New Orleans… I have been thinking about how to write this blog and finally decided to write about New Orleans here and about Mardi Gras in its own blog :)
I arrived to NOLA on Sunday evening after a short flight from Houston. My boss was waiting for me at the airport and he drove me to his house in Mandeville which is near to NOLA. For me it was cool, at least cooler than Houston. I was so glad I had my coat with me. They have already prepared and extra bedroom for the Peruvian girl. This was so lovely. Everything was just set for me. I couldn’t have asked for anything else. The family was waiting for me and I couldn’t feel more welcomed.
Well, time to go back to reality and open the bag with the bottles.
Oh my God! Not only 1 bottle of red wine was broken also a Pisco’s one. The pisco is transparent, so it wasn’t a huge problem. I went to the kitchen and opened it there, because I don’t want to make a mess in the lovely bedroom. It smelled like an alcoholic’s suitcase, ufffffff. After all I was lucky, my favorite clothing wasn’t in that bag, and I have some clean stuff in the smaller one. Not everything was dirty. Missy took care of them. Also my shoes were safe. I just lost my towel, a scarf and a top. Not bad at all. It was amazing that a white west and a white shirt came without any spot, hahaha.
my first night in LA
After the incident we ate something for dinner, chatted a bit about what to do next morning and went to bed. I was tired after a busy weekend. The next day I had to go to the office and would move to the Garden District in NOLA.
Yeah! NOLA’s adventure was starting…
