Let me say this right off: Epcot is Weak. If you're looking for adventure or excitement you're going to have a bad time there. Epcot is broken up into two parts FUTUREWORLD and THE WORLD SHOWCASE. Futureworld is the closest Epcot gets to being worth anything at all, and really the only reason for that is Mission: SPACE. MS is a simulation ride that takes 4 people casts them as an international space crew and then puts them through the simulated paces of a lunar launch mission. The ride even has two settings "INTENSE" and "ITS A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL". Everything else in Futureworld is kinda lame. Spaceship Earth was being renovated while I was there so I have no idea whether it will be fun or not once its done, however, I'd put all my money on NOT FUN.
Everything else in Futureworld has been ruined by the sands of time. At first I was sure I had just outgrown it, until I realized that things were distinctly different from when I was a kid. They ruined The Living Seas by tieing in a FINDING NEMO story line. They ruined THE RIVER of TIME in Mexico by adding the "Three Caballeros" storyline. Test Track is about as scary as minor turbulence. Futureworld stinks.
And the World Showcase is no better. Some countries have rides, Some countries have movies, All Countries are there to push food on you and provide meager enjoyment and multi-souvenirs. That's it. It even stays open til 11pm most nights, so you have somewhere to shake maracas and drink margaritas made by a Honduran pretending to be a Spaniard in "MEXICO".
And yet, I can't stop myself from trying these rides out, again and again; hoping against hope that somehow I was wrong last time. Hoping that the years will mature me. Hoping that some how, this time, Epcot won't suck. But it always does. Always.
