So, the three weeks in Hong Kong have come to an end. I came down with a bout of food poisoning towards the end of the trip, and was layed low for three days. (Dont let the food poisoning incident put you off. I ate a dodgy meal consisting of sauasage and mash. I feel the sausages were undercooked.) As a result some of the bigger plans we had for travelling round in the last few days didnt come off. However overall we saw a lot of what HK had to offer, and we certainly dined out in some fantastic eateries.
Overall I would say a definate must for any visitor to HK is to at least try some of the following:
Night out in Lan Kwai Fong & Wan Chai.
High Tea in the Peninnsula hotel.
Visit to Lamma Island
Visit the Peak. (At night with clear skies, simply breathtaking)
Visit the Avenue of Stars at night and watch the spectacular cityscape at night on HK island.
Shopping trip in Shenzhen
Ferry to Macau (Leap off the Macau tower whilst there)
Dragons back walk on HK island.
Visit Shek O & Stanley beaches.
Have an irish stew at the Dublin Jacks in Lan Kwai Fong
Ladies Market in MongKok.
Wednesday night pup quiz in the Dickens, Excelssior hotel, Caueway Bay.
There is so much to do in HK. If anyone who reads this review is planning on visiting HK then please feel free to contact me and ask for any advice.
Till my next travels, later.
