Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Tahiti, Easter Island and Chile... After a long time of thinking about it, I finally decided to make my own round the world trip. Since I have a fascination with everything that has to do with the Pacific, me and my best friend chose a score of small islands there to visit... It all happened between October 17th and December 19th, 2008. This is my story about that trip...

We've booked the trip!

Yes! It's finally done! We've booked (and paid, but that's another matter...I'm now a poor man again) for our flights and we're now in the process of looking at hostels, hotels and other accommodations...

The definite schedule has changed a bit from my last update, so here it is again. Hopefully we won't have to change anything anymore, I'm reaaaaalllyyy looking forward to this... :D

17 Oct. - departure

18 Oct. - arrival Sydney

18-30 Oct. - Australia (Sydney – Brisbane and in between)

30-04 Nov. – Nauru

04-06 Nov. – Kiribati

06-11 Nov. – Fiji

11-14 Nov. – Tuvalu

14-15 Nov. – Fiji

15-18 Nov. – Samoa

19-22 Nov. – Fiji

22-25 Nov. – Tonga

25-28 Nov. – Fiji

28 Nov-03 Dec. – Vanuatu

03-05 Dec. – New Caledonia

04-11 Dec. – Tahiti

11-16 Dec. – Easter Island

16-18 Dec. – Chile

18 Dec. – returning home

19 Dec. – arriving home

Did you know that Air Nauru (Our Airline) recently suspended their flight between Nauru and Kiribati (http://www.ourairline.com.au/latestnews.aspx). You'll need to go again through Fiji.
