After another long flight (again about ten hours) we finally arrived down under! We got through customs extremely tired, but relatively easy. One small thing, my buddy had to hand over his little jar filled with sand from
The first day was mostly used freshening up and resting from travelling from one side of the world to the other side. The only thing worth mentioning is our visit to the Opera House. We could actually walk there from Big Hostel, where we eventually ended up staying. Despite our fatigue, the Opera House made a lasting impression on us both. We’ve all seen it on the pictures, but seeing it in person is something completely different.
On a side note…while we were admiring the architecture of the building, we were passed by Pim Verbeek, who is not only our countryman, but also the national coach of the Australian soccer team…
