Getting ready to leave
It's the day before departure, and I waited until now to start packing my backpack. I do this all the time when I go away somewhere, but somehow it's easier for me to wait until the last minute before doing much of anything travel related. I've said my goodbyes to my colleagues at work and most of my family, only my sister and parents will be there when I leave Eindhoven to go to Schiphol Airport. Oh, and my mate's girlfriend will also be there since she will drive us there... ;)
This will be my first time out of Europe (not counting a day to Kulusuk in Greenland), not to mention my first intercontinental flight (the first of a total of 21). I've got a slight fear of flying, mainly during take-offs, so that could get interesting as well. Let's keep my fingers crossed and hope all will go well!
