This camp proves to be the cheapest one on our UK travels so far at £5 per night and it has a beautiful view. When we arrived there was no one at the farm house to check us in so we just went on in and picked our spot. Next day we see the owner and tell him of our arrival and that we would like to stay for 2 nights. Following the neighbour's suggestion we drive down to the little steam railway station to catch a ride into Llangollen but the first train is not for another hour and we want to get in before mid-day. As warned parking is impossible, the main street is closed for the grand parade but we park a fair way out of town and walk in.
Hearing drumming we find a band of youngsters from Malaysia and the crowds pack the road to watch their performance.
We have a packed lunch with us but decide to have it for dinner and purchase an Indian meal from one of the stalls for a big lunch. A great day at the eistedford and we head back to collect our van. Can't get the 50p showers to work so have a basin wash instead.
