Castle tour of Wales begins

Following Andrew's night before research we are going to see Conwy Castle. While purchasing the ticket the helpful young man gives us some options and as we plan to see a couple more castles in Wales we opt for the 7 day ticket and unknowingly our Castle tour begins. Conwy is pretty special and we decide to go on to Beaumaris next. This castle has three lines of defence being a moat, the outer wall and an inner wall if invaders were planning to breach the castle. In the centre of the castle we come across a band of period dressed people busy at their daily medieval tasks. I ask the guy with the vicious looking pike at the inner passageway if he shouldn't be challenging us with a "Halt! Who goes there" or something.
We find we have time to fit in Canarvon Castle where the Princes of Wales are invested with Charles being the last one in 1969. Our 7 day ticket now owes us nothing and all the next ones are free. Find a camp at Talsarnau which is highly regulated and it is damp and windy. This type of camping is not our favourite as we love to be able to pitch our tent where ever we find the quietest spots. The World Cup final is played out painfully and controversially and Italy wins. I decide to put up our Aussie flag on the van again, just because, just because Australia was robbed of a chance to go further and I heard that said again today (late November) by an European Soccer official who was not as biased as us!
