(Day II) Amsterdam (museum, lunche, boottrip and more)

Het rijksmuseum

The next morning at the Stayokey!

The next morning I woke up like 8.30 in the morning.....A lot of girl in my room were already awake! I went to breakfast befor 10.00 AM were I had met Ante and Jeff who stayed also in the same Stayokey hostel......When I met these guys, Devika and Mandy just left....grrrr...I just missed them.....The breakfast was good and it I heard different kind of languahges...That was so funny! I had a good talk with Jeff and Ante and we made plans for the day...Ante would like to go to the Filmmuseum....I was talking about the shopping thing and it was soooooo funny...when I said it,...they both  were like PIEP......grrrrrrrr...ssssssst! I think they had enough about it....hihi....Ante did his things and we had made already plans for lunch yesterday at the bar with Kim and Sylvie at 12.30 at the DAM......and Mell, but he did not make it.....aaaaah!

The Amsterdam Rijksmuseum!

Jeff and I were looking for a nice museum nearby and we went to the Rijksmuseum! (More info in the Review).

De koffiehuis taken from the boottrip!
It was a nice building and I made some pictures about the building.....We were there like 30 minutes...it was a record for me hihi......We have seen the most importent art (painintings).....The most famous painting will be "the nachtwacht" by Rembrant van Rijn......I,m not a art girl, but I knew the "lady with the purls also" We did not had much time, but we were not like art freaks heyhey! It was nice to vised this place and it,s great to be hear when you are a art lover! The Rijksmuseum is the place to be, it has like a million pieces of arts and beautiful things..The building it self was also beautiful!

The lunch somewere on the Damrak!

Afther the short museum trip Jeff and I took the tram to de Dam were we met Ante, Sylvie and Kim...Mell could not make it! We sat at the lunchroom somewere in the Damrak nearby the Trainstation! It was nice, but it was selfservice! I had a good lunch, but it was not a bigg thing there! The food was good, that,s it! Ante had a very strange looking cake.....It did not look nice at all.

The koffiehuis again!
..hihi...I heard also it taesed different also.......At the Lunchroom Kim (Latinlover) made a video of Ante and his dutch counting...It was so cool...You go...Ante! He counted till 20 in dutch...He was very learning person......His dutch accent was very funny to....We had some talk with eachtother and kim and Sylvie had to leave soon....We took some pictures in the lunchroom and I was glad we had a lunch together! It was great, but again Toooooo short! A had a baquete with chees, ege and tomato.......and some jus.....

The boottrip......boottour!

I went on the boottour with Ante and Jeff afther lunch! I was feeling like a tourist in my own country......It a great thing to do.....It,s like a break.....haha...Jeff was almost sleeping during the trip...hihi.......It,s better to do it when the weather is great....You can also read more in the Review about the boottrip! The building looked alike....We passed the Prinsengracht, the Herengracht, the Keizersgracht and the Amstel...I also made some pictures of the koffiehouse from out the boot, were we I have met the most of these wonderful people!.

Ante with me and Jeff on the boottrip!
.It was great wachting Amsterdam from insite the boot! We had a computerguide on the boot...realy funny......talking in like 4/5 different languages! We were like a hour on the boot! I had a great time!

De PC Hoofdstraat!

Afther the boottrip I had to say goodbye to Jeff! I did like hanging out with him.....Ante and me went our why and we met at diner later on at 17.30 in the Leidserstraat! The shoppinggirl, like me was going to the PC Hoofdstraat......I have a good friend living in Amsterdam and he said I need to see that expencive shopping street.....It was nearby, so way not....I walked first in the Vondelpark...That,s also a nice place to hang out....It,s a nice park, like a very, very small Centralpark in Newyork That I had vised!.

Jeff on the boottrip!
...Yeaaaaah a very Smalllllll one hihi....The hostel is at the park...like a minute, like a second walk! The PC Hoofdstraat was a 5 minute walk from the Vondelpark/ the Stayokey hostel....It,s vry expence street in Amsterdam, the most Expencive street were the Celebertys are shopping! There is Dior, Chanel, Armani, D&G, Valentoni etc etc.....I went there for like a hour and just came back...It,s nice to see that street, but to expencive! I went afther the (shopping) (Ante/Jeff) Piep *&%$#@  grrrrrr thing back at the Hostel...

The Pancake Corner!

I met Ante later on in the Hostel....We went to the Pancake Corner, were Sylvie, kim, Jeff and some others went before on the saterday night late! It,s a great place, but it,s better when you are a real Sport freak.

The cafe were we went out on the Leidsterstraat last saterday!
....There are al Tv,s with different sportcanals all over the place! It was so funny...They had also nice music..The Atmosthere was great! Ante and I were the only people in Amsterdam! I was impressed when I spoke dutch at a waiteress and she spook Engles back...Ante was lauching at me! You should see my face! I was thinking "He we are in the Netherlands" It was realy funny...., but I do understand why.,....Amsterdam is the most tourist spot in the Netherlands ofcourse! It did never hapen before and I had diner before in Amsterdam.
The pancakecorner were we had diner!
....The food was great..Ante had a jammie pancake with banana, wipperd creme and very good chocolade! I had a Hawai pancake with ham, chees and panaple offcourse.....It was very good and we were fulled afther that....We talked about the meeting and the days in Amsterdam....about my and his plans.....Afther that we went back to the hostel...I said goodbye to him!  I was very tired and he had a busy day tomorrow also! My night was bad...felt a sleep, woke up etc.......because girls came in and out late and made noise.....Afther all I slept well!

The stayokey is a very cheap hostel and there are 30 of them everywere in the Nederlands! The Amsterdam Vondelpark was a very nice and old building with a lot of rooms...You can stay at a room with, 2, 4, 6, 8 or more people.....I had a room with about 20 girls......When you sleep with a lot of people it,s the cheapest and when you book as soon as posible during the weekend it,s also cheaper....I payed like 35 euro for two nights (first night 35 euro, second night for 10 euro extra)

They have internet out there, a pool table, soffa,s to sit on...a litle place you can drink with a few, a lot of information about the place you are at the moment, the have a place on the first floor were you can eat your lunch on the first floor! The lunch is very good for a Hostel.... It,s not that confortable as a hotel.....but it,s very good for a hostel....end cheap to!!! They bedstuff is already there and in plastic...You only need to bring some towel with you!

There are also 4000 Stayokey hostel international al over the world in 60 different countrys....It,s not luxe, it,s very simple, but it was good enough for me during my stay in Amsterdam....I slept on double beds and I slept on top...You have a locker for yourself, that,s it....The breakfast is free and incl.....You can eat between 7.30- 10.00 AM.....If you have to leave you need to check out around 10.00 AM.

I went on a boottrip with Jeff and Ante!
On the 27ste I went on a great bootrip....It was real fun and It,s a nice breaktime when you have a busy day! I did a boottrip with with Meyers! We sat in a nice boot and we passed bij wonderful canals with their age old merchant houses, romantic bridges and charming church towers> We had a nice talking computer guide in many different languages wich drawed us to all point of interest.....we went passes the Prins Henderik kade, Herengracht, prinsengracht, Keizersgracht en the Amstel etc....

The trip will coust you around 7.50 euro and it will take around a hour! It,s great and even better when it,s sunny! A negative thing is when you are very tall you will have some problems when you sat....but it,s ok...I,m not very small myself and it was fin by me! It it,s also posible to book the boot for the group...With 20 persons you wiill have a discount! It,s a nice experience and something great to do when you are in Amsterdam!
