Well we arrived yesterday in managua and after a short drive made it to granada. My first impression of granada is mixed. Buildings and architecture are beautiful. We are staying at hostel dorado. A friendly hostel with travelers from many countries.  After settling in to our rooms we immediatly went in search of beer and food. But first we needed to exchange some money. We wandered around for a few minutes and stopped to talk amongst each other. A friendly local asked us what we were looking for and told us he would take us there. After arriving he demanded three dollars for his trouble. We got our money changed and left the building. The same guy was waiting outside for us and then took us to a resturant were he then asked for two more dollars.

We said no three was sufficient but he would not leave. We agreed on one dollar and he finally left us alone. We sat outside and began to enjoy our drinks and food and was continously bothered by kids trying to sell gum and cigarettes.  We would say "no gracias" repeatadly and they would just stand there. Eventually leaving us alone.  I have read from other travellers to sit inside but how could we resist the wonderful weather.

Today is our second day and not once so far have i felt threatend or unsafe in anyway. But i am always staying as aware as possible.  Today we walked around and took pics and filmed. The building here are very colorful the sky and clouds make them look even more stunning. Tomorrow we will be doing a kayak tour of the isletas in lago de nicaragua. I am looking forward to this.  I will write again asap and hopefully upload some awesome photos even though i have mostly been filming.
