* Unforgettable Meet Up Amsterdam *
Saturdaymorning I woke up at 7:30am. My first though was: What can I expect of the Meet Up today?
I left my house at 9:30am on my bike to catch my train to Utrecht. I had Nienke on the phone and we would meet each other in Utrecht central station and then heading to Amsterdam. The train was so full, so Nienke made a small joke like: The whole train are going for TB Meet Up, haha! On our way to Amsterdam, Marloes already sms me like a 100 times :P Coz she was there waiting for us in front of the Free Record Shop. Finally we arrived and we fetch Marloes and later Wendy also arrived. But first we had to take the tram to the Stayokay hostel Vondelpark, coz Wendy had to check in and leave her luggage in the safe. I made Devika a small promise, I had to sms her when we were all in Amsterdam.
After 12:00pm we all went out to the city and looking for the 9 Streets (9 straatjes) Nobody knew where it was, so Wendy said that I had to lead us to the 9 Streets. I was like: Holy crap! Did I say, that I knew where it was? Coz I really had no idea. Luckily Marloes brought the map along. Thank you so much!!! :P Anyway, I loved to help Wendy ofcourse!! It really didn't bother me at all ;)
Then Jeff called, so Wendy passed her cellphone to me and I had to help out Jeff how to walk to the 9 Streets.
After shopping we walked to the central station where the travbuddies had to gather.
Unfortunetly Nienke had to leave us so early.. :(
At 6:00pm we had to be at the Humphreys restaurant. I never expected that the Humphreys was so big! There I sat between Devika and Willem. Later Devika command Bennie to sit with us! Wah, so bossy Devika! :P LOL
Before we could start our first court, Charlotte had an announcement. She handed over 2 TB Meet Up Trophy's for Devika and Wendy. They really earned it, coz they succesfully organised the whole Meet Up. Please, give them a warm and a big applause for the girls! Woohoo! Finally we all could start to eat. I didn't like the fish, so I gave it to Willem.
Travbuddies, do you all watch MTV Boiling Points? Don't you think that Bennie looks like that guy with glasses in that programme? :P Bennie, that evening you had to go toilet. Do you remember I told you to take that door on the right? Pity, you weren't fooled by me, coz that door was the ladiesroom. Everybody had lots of funtimes together at the Humphreys. But we had to move on to a bar to relax.
After long searching of several bars, Alex and Suat finally found an empty bar named: Spot! What a coincidence they spotted! The owner of the cafe must be thankfull to us, coz it was a fullhouse again!!!!!!
There was a match going on. Charlotte was so fanatic! Lauro was busy making some nice "cigarettes", everybody had so much fun like talking, making fun jokes, doing silly, taking normal and sneaky pictures of each other and we had an entertainer: Mark!!! Thank you for entertaining us by singing.
Unfortunetly, some people had to leave and go back home. Later that night Willem, Bennie, Melle, Stephan, Devika, Wendy and I walked to the Stayokay hostel. We were planned to go clubbing at the Leidseplein. Mandy, Kim, Sylvie, Jeff joined us as well. It was fun, we danced all night long and Willem....the straw scene I will never forget! Still hilarious!
It was 5:00am. I felt like shit, tired.. We boys and the girls walked back the hostel and about an hour later, Melle, Willem, Bennie and I had to go back central station get the train straight home. Melle was the luckybird, he left us after 10 minutes. I bought some hot drinks for Willem and Bennie. We had a nice chat, right guys?! Then Willem left us and at 7:30am I left Bennie. He was the last travbuddy I saw.
For the ones I haven't talk (a lot) I hope to meet you again in the future and we'll definitely chat more!
For the ones I had a great time, thank you for making me smile, laugh and happy!
I never expected that the Meet Up was full of funtimes with everyone.
I layed down on my bed thinking.
