Travbuddy 'not so mini' meet-up London!!

Saturday 9^th February

Day of the meet-up! Wooot! This was the second London meet-up, and my third meet-up in the space of two weeks! These meet-ups are taking over my life!!....hahha!

So we got up at like 9am, Lori left to go home and shower and get ready for Wagamamas at 1pm, but we were going to meet Elfie at Piccadilly Circus first. Met Elfie at half 11, and went to a pub, they wanted me to find a Whetherspoons but I didn’t know the area, so we just ended up going to the sports bar and getting our first drink! :D

Sat there drinking and playing pool, until it was time to head to Tower Hill for the meet-up.

We were running a bit late and got to the station just pass 1pm, but Warren (otto219), Tanya (tanyaS82) and Tet (Sweetet) were waiting for us outside the station. Joe’s girlfriend Linzi joined us too.

We then walked to Wagamamas, and met John (londonstudent) and Matt (mat-uk) outside.

Then a few others joined us while we were there; Ben (ben589), Mike (globetrottingmike).

We then headed to Whetherspoons down the road, and were joined by more people: Dave (Wanderingwurzel), Sylvia, Amanda (Blue_jule79), Garry (garrymac), Paul?, Krish? (kmp).

Then at about half 4ish we headed to the party flat to get ready for Hannah and Bondys b’day.

A few more people joined us then: Danny (danny291), Nathan (Nathan85) and Bharath (Bharath_s_p).

Everyone sat/stood around drinking beer, while Lori and I sorted out the cake and shots. When Hannah arrived it was time to get her smashed!

Bondy had no idea the party was for him as well, so he was pretty surprised when his name was on the cake, with Waynes and Joes addition of ‘Butt is a cock’ of course….

Both of them then had to do as many shots as their age, so 20 for Hannah and 24 for Bondy. They obviously weren’t all shots otherwise we’d have the first double Travbuddy death, so most of them were fake! Hannah absolutely annihilated the shots, taking it like a proper Perthy!! Bondy on the other hand was like the slowest thing ever!!!!....and he didn’t even finish his shots! Mark Bond you are a disgrace!

Then it was the usual, give presents, laugh at Bondy, cut the cake, pass the cake around, eat the cake, shove the cake into Bondys face, laugh at Bondy, wrestle bondy to the floor, get more cake in Bondys face…etc etc etc.

The group then split, some went for dinner, while others went to Westminster to the arcade place. Then there were more splitting as some people stayed at the arcade and others went onto the London Eye.

I don’t remember much after that. I was pretty much gone, so after a few drunken phone calls I managed to get a friend to pick me up from the street I pretty much passed out on, having stupidly forgotten my purse and bankcard, so couldn’t get a taxi, and didn’t know where the hell the nearest tube station were.

I think I got home just past midnight. Everyone else left over from the arcade went to matts (refer to their blogs for the rest of the story!..lol), Hannah, Lori and the guys came back at about 3am. Then all 6 of us slept on the double bed in pretty awkward positions! Surprised the bed didn’t break!!!!

The guys got up quite early to drive home. Bondy was still pretty drunk.lol.

Hannah left a while later because she had work. Lori and I just slept! Haha!

We woke up at like 11ish though, and the house was a tip! So we started to clean up, and did a pretty good job! We only got an after pic! Forgot to get a before one!!

We were actually planning to go to the Chinese new year parade, but after the last couple of nights, don’t think that was happening!!!

I think that’s actually the same number as the last meet-up, if I’ve not forgotten anyone!!

Thank you guys for coming and making it a memorable meet-up! I don’t think I’ll be organising one for a while now! It’s too stressful!!! So that means one of you guys have to have it in your home towns!!!!.
