BLAS Elegance party

Friday 8th February
I had the day off today. From work and uni which was a good thing as it gave me time to sort out the meet-up stuff and get ready for BLAS.
I got up pretty early and got all my stuff sorted to take to the flat including our outfits for BLAS..woooot!
So got to the flat at about 12pm, but everyone else was running a bit late, so weren’t going to come until about 2pm, so I decided to go sort out the meet-up stuff i.
Got back and Lori came over first I think it was? We chilled for a bit, catching up on the 15 or so hours we hadn’t seen each other..hahah!
Then Shola decided to pop round, as she wasn’t doing much then and had to go to a hen party later on in the evening.
Jade came not long after and then we started getting ready. I hadn’t worn a saree in a while, but I’m glad I remembered how to put in on! Jade and Lori looked absolutely beautiful in their sarees! Lori was soooooo excited it was unbelievable! But I guess I’d be like that if I wasn’t asain!
We got ready by about 5, took a few pictures, said bye to Shola, and off we went to the O2 for BLAS.
Now BLAS stands for Barts and the London Asain society, which is part of my uni.
The cab surprisingly got us there in like 25 minutes, so we were really early! There was like one person in the queue, so we decided to fix ourselves up in the toilet, but after we’d come out, the queue had gone back a bit, so we decided it best to leave dinner for later and queue up so we could get good seats.
Didn’t have to queue for long, and got in to get pretty awesome seats! Emily and Jake joined us a while later.
The show was AMAZING. It’s unbelievable the amount of talent people have. The organisation and everything was great too. Really enjoyed myself and I’m sure Lori did too!
Jade and Moz wanted to stay for the after party and we did too, but we decided it best not to, as the guys (Wayne, Bondy and Joe) were at the flat, and Wayne wanted to mess around with our shisha pipe, so we needed to get home.lol.
The drive back home was even shorter! We managed to get the same guy that picked us up to drop us off. Weird conversation in the car though, he actually remembered who I was, because I always use that particular cab company, although I get different drivers, but he knew who I was and where I lived! He was like ‘Are you going to Shadwell?’ and I was like ‘No, Mile End please’, and he was like, ‘But you live in Shadwell?’ and I got freaked out! But he explained he’d picked me up before.
Got up to the flat, and saw Bondy first. He was pretty surprised to see us, as we’d told them we’d be a couple of hours. That was because we were planning to get dinner, but they wanted pizza, so it was better to go home and order it from there then carry it from the O2. That, and everyone else had the same idea as us, as we had like an hour till the after party started, so there were like heaps of Asians crowding around every bloody restaurant in the O2!..lol
We got pizza when we got home though, and I got a nice ‘surprise’, a box of grease as Bondy called it!
The guys had already started drinking, and so we decided it was time for us to get smashed! We didn’t drink at BLAS because we didn’t want to leave our seats to go to the bar just in case someone else took them!
I think the first one had Smirnoff, James cook rum and archers raspberry mixed with Robinsons squash. I really liked it! The second one he attempted was vodka with irish cream, which actually tasted good but looked and smelt like sick!! The third one was literally the same as the first, but we ran out of archers so he put in strongbow instead. Bondy liked that one.
After a few weird concoctions we were pretty drunk. The guys ended up popping all the balloons we had blown up for Bondy and Hannah’s ‘surprise’ party (although Bondy didn’t know at the time).
Joe kept himself amused with a condom, and then he beat me up.
