After coming back from Orlando, we spent the next two nights in Fletcher. From here we visited Busch Gardens. We had been to the one in Williamsburg a few times, but that was long enough ago that several new types of roller coasters had been invented since then. Busch Gardens actually has an impressive lineup. While the Williamsburg park as a European theme, the Tampa park has an African theme. That can be seen in the safari where animals can be seen by train, jeep or skylift chairs and in the name of everything from the restaurants to the roller coasters. We rode five roller coasters: Gwazi, Scorpion, Montu, Kumba and SheiKra. Two of these are probably my new favorites. Montu is a steel inverted coaster that has seven inversions and a long 3 minute ride time. SheiKra is my new personal favorite. It sits eight wide, so you can actually end up hanging over the edge, not centered on the track. It has a 90 degree down angle that stop and suspends you looking straight down before it lets you go. It also has a part where it skims through water kicking up a huge spray at passers by. It reaches a top speed of 70 mph and has a long 3 minute ride time.
