TB Meetup In Amsterdam
So it's 5:30 in the afternoon right now and I just came home 2 hours ago from a long train ride from Amsterdam. I wasn't really going to blog about the meet-up now since I have tons more of blogs lined up to do and it's going to take me until summer to finish them all up but I just couldn't resist the temptation of reliving all the crazy memories I had yesterday. I should actually be sleeping right now (I bet Lauro is) but I'm just glad that I had two mad hours of sleep or I'm probabaly dead asleep by now. Sleep will have to wait for a couple more hours.
After only having four hours of sleep, I left home yesterday morning at 7am and took a train to Dusseldorf to meet up Lauro but I was 45 minutes early so I decided to take a walk and found this Mitsukoshi (Japanese Department store) shop which took my interest. I went inside and was thrilled to see that it was packed with people and EVERYONE was Japanese! OK, so I think you wont really care about this part so let's go on with the story...
Lauro was 10 minutes late (OK fine, only 7!) when I waited for him at the train station. We bought food at McDonald's and that's when he started doing video shoots for his music video.
He told me not to laugh but I JUST COULDN'T HELP IT!! He took more videos while waiting on the train and also on our train rides. I just wish him luck though for that music video (BTW, I saw it and it was nice ^^).We were an hour late when we arrived at the coffee shop (not my fault!) and we were both nervous to go inside so we were really pushing each other into the door because no one wants to go in first. Glad to have Devika approach us and welcome us in (so I'm reading Lauro's blog right now just to refresh my memory hahahaha sorry hahahaha) and there was also Charlotte and Wendy who I was told organized the meetup locations and stuff (now it's obvious I wasn't paying attention at the forum.) And Wayne and Rubi also greeted us!
Inside I tried to look for people I know and I only saw two or three, the others I recognize the face but I don't know the name and also some others who I recognize the TB username but couldn't remember who exactly they were.
I was told years ago that peanuts are good for the brain memory so I should start eating them now. Or were they peanuts? Ugh!I was able to talk to and get to know Johan, Kim, Melle, and Jeff then. They were really nice guys to talk to! Four people is a good start for a crazy shy person that I am!
Before we left, we took a bunch of group photos which in most of them I definitely looked weird because it was hard to guess when exactly the camera would flash and take a shot. We then walked to Humprey's for dinner. Cameras were flashing all the time so now I'm wondering if anyone got stolen shots of me in akward poses because whoever will post them will.... hmm I don't know... I'm too happy right now to think of something evil to do.
It was nice to get to know Zoey who was such a nice and funny person.
I love her! Also nice to meet Sylvie, Ket, Marloes, Charlotte, Wendy, Marcel, Alex, Eef, and Suat! These are also some great people who came but I wasn't able to get to talk to: Anouk, Ante, Benny, Nienke, Mandy, Raphke, Stephan, Willem, Sanne, and Sonja. I hoped I was able to talk to Wayne and Rubi but I didn't get much chance. Big hugs to Devika for working a lot for this meet-up and a big hi to Mark too! Oh dear God, I hope I didn't forget anyone!! Oh yeah, Lauro was there too. After a pretty smokey dinner (I was on the smokers table but hey I don't smoke. I just joined them. ^^), we walked around the streets of Amsterdam to find a bar to just hang out at and after two bars, we finally got one that wasn't full (only not enough space haha). So there was more drinking, talking, picture taking and smoooooking and definitely everyone was having tons of fun. I can't tell the details anymore as I'm already feeling lazy. I can't believe it's nearly 7pm and I'm still not finished writing here. I am never gonna get my other blogs finished by summer!!!!!! O___O"
But before I end this and start uploading the pictures, I would like to thank some people! First, even though she wasnt there, she have been a big help for me to get to the meetup yesterday.
Thanks Nina for being you and you and you! hahaha! ^^ Really, thanks! Also thanks Marcel and Paula for giving us a place to sleep at last night (or actually, this morning already...). Thank you so much to those people who dared to talk to me and everyone else who came! It's been a great night for all us, eh? I'm hoping for another meetup like this soon! And Lauro, thanks dude even though you believed me when I said that I think I am jinxed and that bad things always happen to me when I travel (which I am now starting to believe is true....). But the meetup all in all wasn't so bad right? Now, I better get finished with this, upload photos from my camera and also steal photos from others, and then I can go to bed and recover my senses............
Big Kisses to All!!! Thanks for caring to read!
